|There are many good holding pools throughout the beat; the March, Dalreoch Falls, Shingle Bend and Upper Parks in particular on the upper half of the beat, and Ace, Dalreoch Burn (aka the Junction pool), Folly and Stones on the lower half.
Ace and Stones are amongst the best high water pools on the Novar beats, but there are also numerous small pools and runs throughout the beat that can produce grilse in low water.
